So, I'm in the process of accepting this knife in a trade. To me, it seems like it is the real deal Spyderco, but the fakes have gotten so good that I'm always terrified of accepting/buying a fake. Does this look like a real Spyderco to you, and reasons why/why not?

I am certainly no expert, but I do own a Tatanka and comparing it to your pics, I would say it's the real deal.

And I got mine at the SFO so I feel certain that it's good to go.

It looks pretty real to me. Did they make fake tatankas? I know some knives are easier to copy than others. The power lock seems like it wouldn't be the easiest thing to copy.

If that isn't a real one I give up. The damn fakes are like the Covid, you probably won't get it but the worry is still there.

Looks just like mine. Although the pocket clip is on the wrong side. :p
