I'm working in Japan for a few weeks, saw these in a little shop by a Naval base. I like them, but no idea of real/fake or actual value. She's asking about $240 for each, reasonable? Thanks much.

$240 for the Millie is almost double what you would pay for a used one on the secondary, not sure on the Delica.

Might be reasonable considering your location.

If you can stand a little patience, id say wait till you get back stateside and pick them up at a better price.

Although, a nice Spyderco would be a great momento from a journey across the world. If you go that route, i suggest grabbing the Delica because its closer to the price youd find it here and its made in Japan.

Military looks real, the damascus delica is supposed to have a spider on the blade--that one doesnt appear to, but it could just be the angle. Either way, they're both over-priced. You can buy new from an online retailer for less.

The Spyderco "bug" doesn't always show up well on Spyderco's damascus blades. I blew the photo up a bit and played with the contrast and I'm sure it's there. Which is not to say waiting until he get's back to the USA isn't sound advice.
