12 inches is not long enough for espada and needs to be skinnier...it may work as serrada knife, though.
i'd say you need about 21" of blade to play with for espada y daga work. it would also be nice to have a guard for both sword and knife. handle needs reshaping a bit. pretty nice blades for chore or yard work though.
