Trying to figure out if this knife is a legit R. Hinderer. Thank you!

Even though I'm a neophyte, all other things being equal the first question to ask: how much did it cost?
It's from a family estate. There were other high dollar knives, but there were also some fake Case knives. The collector wasn't supper discriminatory.

I know most of the production FXM's only have 2 screws as well as the modern Hinderer branding.

There were some custom FXM that did have 3 screws, but I seem to remember those just saying Hinderer along the base of the blade above the scale, not billboarded down the side like the Flashpoint..

Plus to my eye that looks like el'cheapo laser etching. Not the embossed text like Hinderer normally used. Just my .02 cents..

I don't know much about Hinders, but those fasteners don't look right to me. Somebody who knows Hinderers is welcome to correct me:

Here's a picture from the Hinderer web site. Notice the finish of the screws. Jimping does not match, either.

I'm no Hinderer expert but I've seen lot of Hinderers (fixed, folders, autos & bali) & I've never seen one branded that way.

So, it looks like a fake to me.

The fasteners look okay, but the fact that there’s three of them is not good and the logo looks etched, not stamped.
