Just got the Megaladon , bought it on a whim - good reviews etc. This after I swore I'd not buy any other Chinese Knives [ had a mixed experience before ] that being said
I must say this Mega is Impressive, enough so I'd like to "pretty it up"

The pocket clip although it functions well doesn't work for me aesthetically .
Anyone have a replacement suggestion .. deeper carry and no bill boarding would be good

I can see this as a good candidate for an anodizing job as well ...

I doubt there's any aftermarket option, but I agree about it needing some dressing up.

Assuming you bought the Ti version, I'd grind that shark fin off, polish it and then anodize. You can send it off for anodization if you don't have a variable power supply, or just daisy-chain some 9v batteries together.

I don't find the flipper tab as big as others I own . this thing fires every time . My hand / fingers just fall in the right places no pressure on the lock bar
inexpensive knife - designed very well

I don't think i'd play around with anodizing - any recommendations

you can have someone make you a custom clip. a few guys make them out of different ti and timascus (sp?) etc.

love my mega too. they just released a carbonfiber version. but I don't like the blade profile of it. if I can blade swap or swap the scale without issues I may consider getting that version.

Oh, not the flipper tab. I was talking about the odd section of the clip.

I made you a quick couple photoshops for inspiration (No idea how the lockbar relief pocket looks like, so I just extended it):

If you want a specific color, I can see about making another one.

Nice work. Photoshop gives me a headache.

If it were mine, I'd like to see it done in blue with bronze facets. The chamfers around the edge and the pocket clip.

I think a Satin Blade would look good on it too, especially if you give the lock side some color, it has slender fairly elegant lines (in my eye) to it, where a satin finish would look better than the stonewashed look.
