I just a bought a new Buck Folding Omni Hunter 12PT at a gun and knife show today as a gift for my son-in-law who loves hunting and Buck knives.
My son examined the knife and thinks that it might be a counterfeit, so I am wondering if anyone here knows how to tell the difference?
For example, after looking at the same knife on the Buck website tonight, the "B U C K" letters on the blade seem too far apart from each other and the "U S A" under the Buck letters does not have the periods behind each letter...
I'm concerned that if it's a fake then the materials may be inferior and not last as well as the real thing.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
