hi , you all.

i have few buck knives ,now .

my Q here is the wood handle on the knives are real wood ?

The standard laminated handle material used is basically a resin impregnted Birch plywood. Sometimes called Dymondwood.
I'm not positive but I suspect Rutland Plywood is the source. Of course Buck also uses exotic woods on some knives.

DymondWood® is distinguished by its unique strength, durability, dimensional stability, and weather and moisture resistance as compared to regular wood.

thank you man

Prior to '94 I believe solid wood was the norm, the obeechee laminate came out in '94 and more and more handles use the laminate/dymondwood in varying colors and forms. My cocobola 119 is laminate, though when I bought it I figgered it was going to be natural wood scales.
