Ok, just wanted to take a moment to confess I really like knives. I left the house this afternoon to run some errands and got 1/2 way to the truck before I realized I had 4 blades on me. A fixed edc on my hip, traditonal in my pocket, punch dagger around my neck & a Manbug on my keychain. Crazy thing about it is I may not use any of them while I'm out and about.

Hello, my name is Michael and I love blades. Wow, I feel better.

Welcome to the addiction!

I carry at least 1, sometimes 2 at all times. But I do know, without a doubt, that I will use at least one of them at some point during the day. That makes it worth it. That's how I justify it to myself anyway... and my wife!

Hi Michael! I am addicted to all things sharp myself. But my wife likes that I am addicted to knives and not other things. There is far worse things to be addicted to. :D

Knives are just things, you can stop buying at any time especially went you have no particular special use for a blade and you already have 10 others that satisfy that need.

Yep. There are definitely many worse things to be 'addicted' to. And much more expensive, & more destructive.

It's actually pretty affordable (or can be, lots of cheap fun knives out there). Chances are your wife has spent more money on shoes than you ever will on knives.

Also, this addiction seems to settle down. At some point you realize you have a drawer full of a lifetime supply of nice knives, you don't really NEED any more, and your attention turns elsewhere.

Normal.
