This one's leaving tomorrow for "Pappy" Long's and a beautiful sheath. Then it's off to that " green and pleasant land" across the water.

I'll add a pic of Paul's sheath work when it comes back from Texas.

This puppy's got an 11 3/8 inch x 2 1/8 inch blade. It's .235" at the ricasso, with a full distal taper, and it's light and fast in the hand.

The "S" guard, collar, and domed, fit-to-stag butt-cap are anchor chain wrought iron. The accent spacers and fluted finial are stainless, as is the fluted cap on the Take-down tool.

The curved tang was cast to the Sambar Stag handle with marine epoxy, so it draws up solid, and is chopper strong.

The stag, D-2 and stainless take-down tool holds spare assembly pins.

Here it is forged-to-shape..

Awesome piece! That first picture is too cool. I really like the blade shape and the handle and hardware set it off very nice. -Burton

Super chopper, John! Really big super chopper! 2 1/8th wide, that is wicked. And, I like the breadth you have given the 'S' guard. Well made and ready for service.

every single John White knife looks like fun. That you take great pleasure in making knives, John, is evident in your work!

John this is just great! Every time you post a knife it invariably puts a big smile on my face. I bet this feels fantastic in hand.

Very nice Bowie. All the little details are fantastic!

Kind regards,

Jos
