Yup, the two on the left are the same. The one I cut down was crap from the factory. The shoulder on one side was completely removed I'm guessing by a belt sander making a giant flat on one side. The other one is okay. The one I've used so far was extremely dry and easy to work but soaked up a lot of BLO. If I could buy local and could hand pick I would. These where listed as 24" handles on eBay and obviously I ended up with two 28" boys axe handles
Hacked, that is a nice job of lemons to lemonade. Not an excuse to not being shipped the handles you ordered as well as having a defect that the end user, regardless of level of expectation, has to alter to hang an axe.
Crook-Miller Corp of Ohio no longer makes tool handles, according to their website. They do have a sawmill and it looks to me like they are currently cashing-in on the abundance of dying White Ash trees in their vicinity for making table legs and wood trim and mouldings.
