This what I currently have here at the house. I sold off a lot of my collection during the 4 months my wife was unemployed. This does not count stuff that is with Richard J, Reese Weiland, and one with DDR.

Wow, you really did pare down your collection. Didn't you have a few balisongs, too?

Glad to see the Demko custom made the cut.

I had a BM42 that went to Krein for a sharpened double edge and torched handles... It was a sweet knife but I'm not too into balisongs, esp one that can f you up so easily while flipping. As for the Demko, if it came to only keeping one folder, this would be the one.

Nothing special. Just my sheeple friendly folder. It lives in a pocket in my vest next to my emergency Copenhagen.

I've done some of the same, mostly gave away some knives especially to my nephew he even now has my old Buck 110, so I don't have any Bucks in my collection now. With the exception of a few odd balls, my collection is all Benchmade, Kershaw, Spyderco, Case and Queen. Of course getting rid of our very humble estate, and relocating to TX moved me faster on some of this. At one time I had so many knives I couldn't keep up with them:eek:! I'm really enjoying my smaller tighter collection more!

You do what you have to do but if it means anything, I went down from between 80 and 90 knives to about a dozen on my own accord and in most cases, not related to money except to finance others in a few cases.

It just makes sense to me anyway because the new offerings are getting better and better as time goes on and frankly, if you're not a collector, then why not get the best of the recent offerings to round out any older knives you may have?

Plus I can start all over again to a certain degree. But I doubt I will ever have close to 80 or 90 knives ever again.

I've been selling and trading off my knives a lot lately. There are still a few that I'd like to be rid of. But I think I'm doing fairly well. I managed to pick up a nice HK USP Compact in 40 and a new Benelli shotgun.

I feel you CM, my wife's been looking for a new job and is working one making half of what she was. So I have had to thin the heard myself. Funny thing is my wife really respects the $ I put into my collection as she never knew really what some of my stuff was worth and that "in an emergency" I can move them to create necessary funds. She is also very open to me rebuilding it back to what it was in the future.

You took the words right outta my head!
