Reaper: Brush and Battoning?

Is the Reaper good at clearing brush?

Things have changed on the property. I need to clean out some east coast underbrush from a section of wood. It's mostly vines, shrubs, brambles, junk saplings and low hanging branches. I'm looking for something more hatchet like than my machete and more machete like than my hatchet and axe. Does the curve of the Reaper allow it to, well, reap?

I also need to press it into battoning duty. Actually, my wife will. We have a new outdoor fireplace and my wife won't be splitting down kindling with an axe (especially after watching the last season of Alone) but she can handle battoning well.

Thoughts from people who have the Reaper?

I really like mine.
For a lightweight sub 7" blade it chops well .
It can batton wood with in reason , I'd say 3-4" depending on the wood. I use mine for everything from chopping to carving & feather sticks.
It get the most from it chopping you need a good snap cut.
