Hello, I would like to know what is the rear part of the blade called that keeps the blade from bottoming out when closed?

Were you looking at pictures of a traditional knife or a modern folder ?
You'll only find a kick on a slipjoint or lockback.

Thank You All, I received a 110 a while back and the blade tip was above the handle. I removed a few thousandths from the kick and lowered the blade when folded. This should have been caught by QC.
