Reasonably priced tactical folder with flipper

The ZT 560 is a flipper that doesn't have thumb studs. They're blade stops according to ZT.

Can the knife be flicked open? Yes, it can be, but those blade stoppers aren't easy to manipulate.

Is a ZT 560 in your "reasonable" price range?

The ZT is surely out of my price range. Looking for something under $100. Nice knife, though.

What does Kershaw offer in the way of a tactical flipper?

Actually the ZT 0350 is just over a hundred dollars if you look in the right places. As for other knives maybe consider the Kershaw Blur, Kershaw Rake and Kershaw Knock Out!

Might need to clarify that ahead of time, considering there are no definitions which separate Edc from tactical from survival from work knife, etc...

Crkt shenanigan can be had well under your price, even with aluminum handles and I would consider it "tactical"

The only one I own that I can recommend is a Buck Vantage Select. I really like the paper stone handle material. My one locks up nice and early and is well centered.

Maybe wait for the new Kershaw Strobe? Designed by Matt Diskin. Not available for purchase yet but it does appear on their website. Looks sweeeet...

Don't know if these are tacticool enough though..

You could also check out a forum members site who supports BF and get s great deal on a zt0350. I have had great experiences with USA made blade.

I can second the zt 350. Wonderful knife!

Just saying. :)

Can easily be waved too, if that's your speed.

You should check eBay. Every now and then I see these hovering at $100-125.

Coupla years ago I picked up a ZT 0300 and an 0400st on eBay. Snagged them both for the princely sum of $200, delivered. Imagine that, $100 a knife. They were users, but what the heck. Once I use a knife, it's a user, too, right?

If a good flipping action is what you are after, I would say go with a Crkt knife with ikbs.
I have a ripple and it flips wonderfully, and from what I've seen any other flipper from them is the same. Then, it would only be a matter of finding one that fits your desired look.

Maybe a Kershaw Piston? G10 handles good for grip, 3 and 1/2" blade and Speedsafe assisted opening.

It does have thumbstuds, but they're the awesome ramped ones found on the Kershaw Blur.
