Recommendation? Reassembly woes

I'm having difficulty with putting my Yojimbo 2 back together. It's my first time disassembling a compression lock. I switched out the boring G-10 scales for micarta, but when I close the blade, it rubs on the lock bar, even though it's centered. Same issue with the old G-10 scales.

Is there some sort of trick? Am I an idiot?

Make sure the pivot is together all the way before tightening. Everything needs to be pressed together firmly.

Thanks. I'll try putting it in the vise in the morning. I also noticed for some reason when closing it's catching on the blade stop. So weird.

if I had to guess, the aftermarket scales have tolerances that are off. I've ran into this several times.

K.O.D. did you get it back together? I had issues with my Delica back spring flying across the room while trying to snap the scale back on.

Not yet. I've been helping my dad at the family business and haven't had a chance to. It's together, but not working correctly. Maybe today I'll work on it. I'll post here and let y'all know.

Also try jiggling the handle.
