Reate PL-XF pivot lock flipper

Just received my Reate pivot lock flipper. It has a 3.4 inch nitro V drop point blade with PVD coating. My handle is black Micarta. But you can also get G10 handles and a stone wash finish. The pivot lock works like a button lock, except that you depress the pivot to unlock the knife. There is also a safety to prevent accidental disengagement. It has full steel liners. And jimping and a swedge on the blade. There is a nice finger choil for choking up on the blade. I paid $127 from ncblade.com. And was very pleased with their customer service. There is a smaller version of this called the PL – XT which has thumb studs rather than a flipper for deployment and comes with a 3 inch blade rather than 3.4 inches. It sells for about $10 less. It’s an Alvin Lee design. Very pleased with his work and the knife. Reate does not make too many knives in this price range. But this is definitely a winner and will become part of my rotation.
