Hello Y'all,

I have been daily driving my Reate PL-XT for 54 days now, and the pivot lock threads seem to have stripped. The button just actually popped out when I flicked it open. I fully took apart the knife to try to understand how it works, and basically the pivot screw interfaces with the lock bar to control the locking mechanism. When the knife blade is opened, a spring pushes the pivot up engaging the lock bar. The pivot screw no longer screws into the lock bar, it just goes in and out. For a more visual explanation, leftyEDC forcasted my issue many months prior in this video:
Has anyone else had this issue? Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thank You,
Isaac D.

I would suggest tearing it down all the way and slowly trying various combinations to see if you have something assembled off kilter.

If nothing else reach out to Reate and ask for a pivot assembly. I quickly checked the website and I could only find a contact link, but nothing for warranty service. Maybe a domestic dealer can help you out.

I contacted them, and they are sending over a replacement screw for free.

Since your pivot screw was toast that is the best. Glad you could get in touch with them.
