I had a older gerbertool and liked it, but it would pinch the hell out of your hand. I decided to get a LM Rebar. Is it a good choice? I farm some, hunt, hike, walk my blue heeler.

Its been well received, and you get a lot of multitool for your dollar. Its largely a scaled down Supertool 300, which is a good thing. I did a little sneaky peek here when the Rebar came out last April. Some folks prefer an MT without outside opening tools, but thats a minor quibble and you should be quite pleased with the Rebar.

I find the Rebar to be a quality tool. Like powernoodle said, it's largely a scaled down Supertool 300, which is a heavy duty tool that is one of my favorites. Especially in the black oxide version.

I bought a Rebar a few months ago. It's a nice tool. I've been carrying a PST everyday for about 10 years, and the Rebar has a lot more features. It's a little bigger than I'm used to, but not enough to bother me. I like the replaceable wire cutter blades. The only tool it doesn't have that I miss from the PST is the tiny flathead screwdriver that's perfect for eyeglass screws.

Buy one and build your own custom multitool.

Yes, it's a good choice. it's my favorite tool next to the Spirit.
The Gerber pinch is my least favorite feature of that brand.

I just received my Rebar. I have one question. The tool right next to the plain edged blade is supposed to be a larger flat head screw driver but on mine it is very thick......almost as if they did not grind it down at the tip to normal screwdriver thickness. Anyone have this on their Rebar?

I love my Rebar. The driver on mine is ground down on the side opposite the plain edge blade. The grind starts about 1/2" from the tip. If yours is not ground, send it back.
