Okay so I noticed that you can have your ZT rebladed for 60 bucks (IIRC). This got the more devious part of my mind thinking how nice would my brown aluminum handled ZT350 look with a stonewashed blade...

So I guess my question is, if I pay for a reblade, could I get a stonewashed blade put in? Figured I'd ask because you never know!

I believe someone asked this before, and I want to say no. Your best bet though is to call ZT and ask a rep yourself. They are extremely pleasent to talk with and very helpful. I strongly recommend calling to emailing any day of the week.

The good news is it's $30, but don't know if they will do the style swap. As above, contacting them directly is the best bet. :)

Accidents happen. If you accidentally broke your Zero Tolerance folding knife's blade, we have good news. We can replace your knife's blade for you, returning it to good working order for just $30. Simply send your knife in according to warranty instructions. We'll replace the blade for you, spruce up your knife, and return it to you. Please note that we cannot replace fixed blade knives. Knives with XXXX on their blades are factory seconds and are not eligible for repair or replacement. We also cannot replace blades for discontinued knives or limited-edition knives. ZT blades that have broken due to a manufacturing defect will be replaced under warranty, free of charge, as always.

jumping in on this topic :)
if they replace a blade for you on a frame lock will the tang have to be ground down to fit to the frame lock potentially giving you earlier lock up ???
or how do they fit them together ???

The blades are left long in manufacturing and fit to the frame during assembly, unless the frame is extremely worn the replacement blade should have enough stock to compensate for the wear. Lockup should be 40-60% of the lock bar after blade replacement, just like a new knife.

That is the way I've heard (read) the replacement blades come. No markings at all.

So "sterile" means with no markings. Good to know. I thought maybe he was going to do surgery with it and I was going to say "Get an autoclave."
