Had any one sent a knife in for a reblade recently? If so, what's the turn around look like these days?

It was under a week for me. Had my 581 done. $40 for a coated blade and it came out great!! They put a fantastic edge on it too!

I just sent one in and was under the impression that it would be a week or two turnaround. Then like 2 days later I got an email with a tracking number saying it was already on the way back to me. 👍🏻 Their customer service has been great for me everytime I've needed something.

I notated on the form that I would like to keep the original blade, since its a first production 42 t-latch balisong. Any one been able to hold on to their old blades?

Well there was a statement on the form that said that they keep the old blades. Not sure if that's set in stone. May want to call and ask about that.

You may want to call them. Im pretty sure you won't get the original blade back, even if you ask.

Currently sending in my 154cm mini grip in for a sheepsfoot cpm-m4 blade upgrade. Glad to hear the turn around is fast.

Did you call or email them about this?

Does it cost extra on top of the normal fee?

I see the offer M4 and 20CV in the custom shop - but it cost extra.

Please update us (me) on how this turns out. I have a Tanto mini grip I'd like to do a blade swap on.

This seems to be a "depends on the day" kind of a thing. Called customer service today, they said with a first production on a rare (ish) knife that if I notated the warranty paperwork that they would do their best to get it back to me. So hopefully the person who does the reblading likes balisongs...

Actually, i called first. My mini grip is a custom that I've had since 2014. I asked if i send in my mini grip for a reblade how much would it cost to upgrade to m4. And was told $40 (because of the coated blade). I will keep you posted and post pictures when i hear something. I just sent it off 6/28/16

I asked for the old blade back, but was told they keep them to train people to sharpen. I was just curious and didn't really need it.....just thought it would be cool to have.
I always call before sending anything in. The CS girls I've dealt with literally could not have been any better!
My fav is Micah Hunter. Very knowledgeable and friendly.
Just sent a 470 in that I got off eBay. The assist spring was broken. They received it last Wednesday and shipped it Thursday. No charge for the work or the return shipping.
Best CS in the industry.

Got the knife back already with a new blade and they did allow me to keep the old blade. I would bet it is mainly due to the fact that it was a first run knife though... Any way you slice it, they did a he'll of a job.
