I'm not interested in making knives myself, and wound up interested from the combatives angle, so I am pretty green when I check out some of the tech debates on metals, treatment, harness ratings, etc.
I would really like to get a grasp in order to appreciate the craft and my own cutlery more completely.
Plese reccomend what you think are the best books in this direction. I have been considering a number of the Paladin Press books on knife making my Jim Hirsulias, are they worth looking into?

they cease to think."
