Received a BM42 and I want to know if it is legit.

I usually hang out in the Busse forum, yet I recently received a BM42 as part of a deal, and I want to know if it is legit. Below are a few pics. Even though the handles are non-magnetic, I know there are really good fakes out there. The wear in the finish in the third pic has me concerned. So I want to be sure before I finalize the deal. Also, if it is legit, what would be its value?
