Roman Blaha, a great maker from the Czech Republic was posting up some amazing work HERE. I saw that he was having a hard time understanding that he needed a membership to post photos and promote his work. My wife is Czech so I reached out to him offering to help get things worked out. He sent me this knife as an overly generous thank you!

Blade: Damascus Wnr. 1.1259 Bohler K600 and the SanMai core is Wnr. 1.2842
Handle: Brazilian Massaranduba
Guard and Nut: Patinad Wnr. 1.2842

If you have a minute take a look at his work

Any knife makers need a Spanish translator? :p:D

That is very generous of him, his knives are very nice!

Now I think your wife deserves a gift though, unless she likes knives than she should have it. :D

Beautiful knife! I've seen & handled some of Roman's knives "live", and they are really nice!

Kind regards,

Jos

Very nice. Seems to be a lot of great looking work coming out of Eastern Europe lately.

I lived in Bulgaria for two years, and, sadly, never really saw any great Bulgarian blades to bring home. At the time, they were just coming out from under Communism, so the private production of a lot of items was not up and running yet. Some exceptions were the hand made table cloths, and stone ware dishes etc.

That is a great looking knife, and sure was a nice gesture!

well roman blaha is one of the elit knife makers here in europe his craftsmanship is at hi levels.respect

Beautiful knife. Well done Roman. Congratulations Ryan. One more account of the kindness shown between knife people.
Thanks for sharing.

and to a worthy recipient:thumbup:

That is some really nice looking work. I'm always amazed at the talent out there.

Beautiful work on that awesome knife. He's one talented and generous man, and you deserve to have one.

There's something about that wood combined with the textures of the guard and blade that goes so well together. A very handsome knife.

Beautiful blade, and the attention to detail is incredible. That was very kind of you and your wife to help him out like that.

Greetings gentlemen

Thank you Ryan for the presentation of my knife.
Ryan is very were helpful and a good man. His wife, of course as well.
It should be more of such people willing to help.

Thank you all for the comments and views.

I'm pleased:).

Both of you deserve a round of applause for demonstrating what makes our hobby so great. A terrific looking knife, I hope it's Nikkis!
