Hi all,
I just want to share with you the good things I think about
Geno Denning's knives. I recently ordered the Caribou model from Les
Robertson, and received it a few days ago. It is a very nice knife:
the fit and finish is flawless and the design is very elegant, yet
functional. I particularly like the subtle curve of the blade, it has
a kind of false simplicity (what I mean is that the shaped doesn't appear to be complex, but a second look reveals a lot of hidden
thought about details, don't know if it is clear, english is not
my mother tongue). The other thing that striked me is the degree of perfection of the handle's assembly, this maker seems to be very very
skilled technically.
All in all, I feel it is a near perfect combination of efficiency and beauty. Another point worth to mention is the very good service given by Les Robertson.
So you see, I didn't give you any technical details, it is not a review of the knife (I wouldn't be able to do that), I just wanted to share my feelings with people who thinks that knives are more than simple tools.
Kind regards to all,
François.
