Hi all,
I just want to share with you the good things I think about
Geno Denning's knives. I recently ordered the Caribou model from Les
Robertson, and received it a few days ago. It is a very nice knife:
the fit and finish is flawless and the design is very elegant, yet
functional. I particularly like the subtle curve of the blade, it has
a kind of false simplicity (what I mean is that the shaped doesn't appear to be complex, but a second look reveals a lot of hidden
thought about details, don't know if it is clear, english is not
my mother tongue). The other thing that striked me is the degree of perfection of the handle's assembly, this maker seems to be very very
skilled technically.
All in all, I feel it is a near perfect combination of efficiency and beauty. Another point worth to mention is the very good service given by Les Robertson.
So you see, I didn't give you any technical details, it is not a review of the knife (I wouldn't be able to do that), I just wanted to share my feelings with people who thinks that knives are more than simple tools.
Kind regards to all,
François.

Thanks Francois!
Geno's work is especially clean and I know he and Les are fantastic to work with. I am willing to bet the knife will easily bring a life time of enjoyment.

You have found a good combination in Les Robertson and Geno Denning.

From the service end of things, Les is simply top shelf all the way when it comes to customer service. He has taken very good care of me.

Like you, I am also impressed with the qualities of Geno's knives. The fit and finish are among the best you will find. The design and execution can be deceptive at first with its apparent simplicity but, when you really look close, you start to see all the details that are missed at first. His prices are certainly reasonable too.

I hope that knife brings you as much enjoyment as mine does. I'm sure it will last you a lifetime and provide many good memories over the years.

I wondered who had purchased that knife!! I was looking at that knife for several days on Les's Website and I too thought it looked GREAT! I think you made a wise choice to purchase it, thanks for taking the time to let us know that the knife made it all the way to France in good condition.

I hope that you will use the knife for a while and when you have time please post a Review of the knife performance for us.

Nice choice! I have four of Geno's knives and find them all to be flawless. They are just that clean. Geno is also a delight to talk with, and gives new meaning to the word humble. He is a wonderful knifemaker and all around nice guy!

Hi Francois I am honored somebody from so far away has one of my knives, and glad you like it. And thanks for the kind words from you all, it means a lot.I am glad yall enjoy haveing/useing them as much as I enjoy makeing them. Now I must get my swelled head back to work. thanks all GenO

First of all, thanks Mr Denning for the great work you did.
I have now used the knife a bit, and it's great. Steel is ats-34, but I find it stays sharp much longer than other knives I have in the
same steel (for example the bm-710), and it surely is tough.
To sum it up, my initial good feelings about this knife are totally confirmed: I think it is not my last Denning knife !
Thanks to all for their input, and I'm sorry for Hillbillenigma if I stealed _his_ knife :D.
Best regards to all,
François.

Gotta put in my .02 as well.....

Just got my first Denning today, and I concur, clean, nice, flawless build. Definately a keeper. Spoke to Geno on the phone today, and he's a great guy to do business with as well........ :)
