My first Emerson is as expected:
Sharp as hell
Grippy G10
Big Handle
Gritty blade feel
Machine marks
Fit and finish: Not!
I think when it's broken in I'm going to love it! Somebody described it like a 60's Muscle Car and I love my 64 Malibu SS. I love my Chris Reeve Sebenza 21 Lefty but in a different way.
Update: I've carried this knife a day now and it's really growing on me! The size is a good size for me and fits well in my pocket. The tanto and chisel grind doesn't bother me. All the weight is in the blade. I sanded the G10 around the pocket clip because it was tearing up my pants. Oh and the Wave is very cool
Update: I purchased a used mini A100 serrated from a member. I love this knife for small task! I removed the pocket clip and it sits in the bottom of my pant pocket on my weak side. Oh and I ordered a Mini commander with the stand-offs. I plan to have it tapped for Left hand carry. I think I might be addicted to Emersons
