Received my new 112

I ordered it site to store from Wal-Mart since my particular Walmart doesn't carry the 112. Seems to be the perfect compromise for me between my bucklite, and my 110 for an edc. It has the styling of the 110 (i really like the wood and brass) without as much weight, and a little heavier than the Bucklite so you at least know it's in your pocket.
I'm going to use it without abusing it. I will at least shine the brass once a year before deer season in case it gets dropped in the woods or something, might be easier to find!

Since you already have a 110 you probably know not to store it in the leather.

I like leather best myself, although the Corduras are tough and washable and that's handy sometimes.

Congrats on getting a great little knife.

I've been putting it in the sheath at night by my keys and cell phone.
My 110 I bought used, with the tin and keychain, and the wrong sheath.

The chemicals used to tan the leather for the sheath will attack and corrode the brass in fairly short order. Storage outside the leather sheath will largely prevent the tarnish/corrosion due to the sheath.
 
I think you'll realy enjoy it. I've always liked the 110 but found it difficult to EDC on a regular basis due to size/weight the 112 IMO is a decent compromise as far as overall size goes.
 
Great choice!For work I carry my 112 in a Leatherman nylon sheath.For normal edc,it rides in a custom tooled leather pouch sheath.I really find the size of the 112 to be an ideal size for edc.
 
Hey jec88, Congrats!!! I too carry my 112's in pocket and it is the knife I have carried more days than any other knife. I don't mind the weight of it as it is really the first knife I ever carried on a regular basis.
 
If I really,truly,had to only have 1,one, EDC I think I would go with a paperstone 112...
