25" Sirupati.

The exact length is 25.5" with a 19.9" blade.

(The Kami's initials are U.B. I couldn't find who that is on the list of Kami's marks; does anyone know?)

The feel and weight of this awesome khukuri is wonderful. The balance is impeccable. Like my first H.I. Khukuri I bought a few years ago, it had sentimental value to me the first time I touched it. No objects I have ever owned conferred this feeling. I think I'll have to give 'em names now.

Thanks Yangdu! I LOVE IT!!! :thumbup:

UB is for "Uncle Bill", one of the founders of HI. The kami mark and initials are on the other side of the blade. Current marks are, I think ...

crescent moon = Bura
half sun = Sher
star = Kumar
Nepalese Flag = Vim
Flower = Dil

There are a couple more I don't know. Sombody who knows more than I do will, no doubt, weigh in soon. I have blades by Sher, Kumar, Vim, and Dil -- I like Sher's best.

U.B stands for Uncle Bill is there a mark on the other side (a flower, a flag or a rising sun) That'll tell you who made it. It should be nest to next to mark that looks like a sun with with twin rays on all four sides

All of the kamis use a full sun -- a circle with 4 pairs of rays. I don't know what it's for, but I remember reading that it may be a good luck or blessing symbol of some kind. The flag ought to be Vim. I have a M43 by Vim, and it's a great piece of work.

The full sun with four pairs of rays is the symbol for Himilayian Imports

Yup...HI symbol. Yup...UB is for Uncle Bill.

At one time we thought it was code for New Mexico and some weird connections with UFOs and aliens...but as usual, we were wrong (at least, that's the official story).

My AK doesn't have a U.B. marking on it.

Here's the best pic I could get of the kami mark on the sirupati:

Nice Sirupati! I wasn't happy until I bought one. Big huh?
:-)

Yep. lt's a big one... but it is so wonderfully balanced.

Plus l'm 6'5". These large ones feel pretty good to me.

0ut where l live in southeastern 0hio hill country, these khukuris are great items to take along on my long hikes with my dog. l've been happily hacking with my Ang Khola for a few years and l wanted to get something with a little more reach, yet would not be too long in the thick forest here.

l did some window shopping for a while on the HI site and reckoned a 25" sirupati would be pretty good. Turns out it's exactly what l was looking for.

Now l'm looking at the M43 and Ultimate Fighter too. LOL

U.B. wasn't put on blades until mid 2005, a few months after his passing. Your Ak must be older then that.

Nice looking sirupati.

Sounds right...I'm in SW Ohio but travel your side occasionally.

Great pics. That looks like a beauty. Don't you just love the feeling of opening up the triangular boxes from Nevada? That is half the fun!:thumbup: :thumbup:

0h yeah. :thumbup:

Just like when l bought my AK a few years ago, Yangdu ships QUICK. l do a lot of online shopping and HI is one of the fastest shippers around.

l will definitely be buying more.

:D

Good looking Siru Wolf. The wood used on the handle matches the wood on your AK very nicely.

What is the weight of the Siru?

Great pictures, thank you

Well l haven't weighed it yet, either one of them, but the Sirupati weighs a just a little bit less than the 20" AK.
