Received New Texas Star Today

Has anyone else ordered and received a Texas Star? A really beautiful knife, but was surprised to see a nail nick on the blade. All the pictures I had seen show it with no nail nick. Did Buck change their mind, or did I get an oddball?

that happens some times
that a proto type is shown and there is a small change made for prodiction..
i am not sure of the reason for this except that so many of us want to see some thing asap that they will give us a tast even tho the final details are not set...
i am not sure of pro nail pulls or not...
i would think that should be an option on custom shop knives like strations or not are..
after all it is not that hard to add one with a machine...
easer then strations i would think...
 
Thanks for the replies Rusty and Dave. I would have preferred the blade without the nail pull, but I still like the knife anyway.
