Been busy as can be lately with blade and now I can catch up a bit (mainly because I'm burnt to a crisp from a float trip this weekend.) Most of these blades that made the trip to the show:

The first ones are of my first cable san mai blade:

Next up are three folders -- one unnamed wrapped folder and two "Chubbies."

Michael: I am sorry that you are a crispy critter from your float trip!! I hope you aren't in too much discomfort!!

Your knives all look awesome!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Thanks!

Not sure why that would be Keith. If anyone else can't see them, let me know and I'll upload them on the server I use.

........I can only see Xs in the second post........

Right-click the red "X" and you should see a pull-down appear with one option being "show picture." Left-click "show picture". Repeat for each red "X". If whe you right-click the red "X", you don't get the pull-down, then the pic has been moved or something more serious is wrong. I just opened them in the described manner and they are still "there."

Those chubby little folders are awesome!

I'm also seeing the red x's though...

Your blades are really cool they have a rawness to them. Especially like the one with the skull menuki and the little necker.

I can't believe some production company hasn't 'snatched' you up to make a bunch of Snubbies. That is such a cool little knife.

Allow me to add another Burchtree or two and bring this thread BTTT!

This one is a Trashcan Damascus Chubby:

orig.jpg

Here's what Michael had to say about it...

"It is made out of what Jody Muller calls 'trashcan damascus.' I took a lot of my 1095 cut-offs from the bandsaw and made them into small little triangles and squares about 1/4-to-1/2 inch. I also cut some 15n20 into the same size stuff. This was mixed up with some nickel and poured into a metal cannister with 1080 metal powder poured around it and then sealed up. That got forged into about a 1-inch square, and then ground the cannister off and cut into 4 pieces that got stacked, welded together and twisted a bit. Anyway -- this is what came of it."
