Some recent creations of mine. Still getting the hang of things but they are starting to look better. 440c stainless steel, 1\8" thick with SS pins. Wood harvested from my backyard, top ones birch, right bottom is birch, center folder is hard maple and the left is ash. Criticism and feedback welcome.

I really like the handles but I would like to see the grinds higher which would make the me better slicers. That is just one mans opinion.

Thanks for the feedback! I would of liked to do higher grinds on these and still might, the reason they ended up so shallow was because of being 440c, I had to send them out for heat treat as i don't have the equipment at home to do it properly. (I just have a coal forge). Due to a time crunch on other pieces I decided to push 5-6 out with more scandiesque grinds. I only have a 1x30 grinder at the moment and grinding hardened steel takes to much time and too many belts.

I also use a 1x30 and have for a longgg while, I like to make knives out of files and grind them still fully hard. I dip them in water after each pass. I make them for my own enjoyment so it doesn't matter if there is a oops now and agian. But so far I have been happy with the knives I have made, and gotten good feed back on the ones I gave away.
