Hi guys, I've been watching the net judiciously for any news regarding future releases and would like to share some of my findings in case some of you do not already know.

First up are the scheduled products on the coming soon page on BladeHQ:

Looks like quite a number SuperBlue models are slated to come out this year, and am beyond stoked that a SuperBlue Stretch has a page up along with the Delica, Endura, and Ladybug, all in gray FRN.

Another one that has piqued my interest is a Native5 in CF and S110v... Speechless. Also, a Military Cruwear in gray G10. There are plenty others worth a look, check them out.

I'd also like to share a thread I read on the Spyderco forum which I am not a member of but visit often. Plenty intriguing... The first knife described may put my spending priorities on hold.

Of course there is Wouter's youtube page Spydercollector known as MrBlonde on BF who has a thread up right now also. The Goddard sprint and Domino flipper are highlights for me.

I know news was a little hard to come by of late so I intended on compiling the few that I have found. I am so happy that the Stretch SuperBlue has seemingly come into fruition. What will we see at the Amsterdam meet? It is gonna be a good 2013.

So after all these years of our pressure, they finally caved in on the Ti Para 2 with a compression framelock :) :p

Some exciting stuff here. I personally would like to see the ti para2 with flat ti slabs rather than fluted ti to keep costs down a bit. The domino looks like a winner as well.

w3tnz said it right on the Spyderco forum... we really need to stop telling them what we want.

My wallet will be sad.

Not a big fan of the gray G-10 handles. Got the Para2 and that's enough for me.

The 110v Native sounds like a winner though.

Edit. Yeah a day later and gray handles don't seem as bad as yesterday ;)

Really excited for the Native CF in S110V. I've been wanting to get a native for a while and this gives me a great reason to pick one up.

Yay! Still waiting on the word on the steel for this model, though... I'm hoping for M4...

TedP

That would be awesome, just some upgrade over S30/S35, and M4 is due in PM2 sprint/exclusive. Although, S110V would be pretty cool.

Just read through the other thread.... Wow, fluted Ti Para with an ATR style comp lock, fluted CF scales, a flipper swick, so much win... So much to save for.

..... and some cursory information about CRU-WEAR:

Crucible said:
CRU-WEAR® is an air hardening tool steel possessing an excellent combination of high wear resistance and toughness. This grade is readily machined in the annealed condition (using parameters similar to D2) and exhibits minimal distortion in hardening. The normal heat treatment is compatible to a wide variety of surface coatings such as nitriding, tin coating, etc.
CRU-WEAR excels in applications that require higher wear resistance than D2, greater toughness than M2 high speed steel, or in applications that require both.
The combination of wear resistance, compressive strength, and exceptional toughness make CRU-WEAR a great choice for a wide variety of demanding tooling applications.

A tool & die steel on anabolic steroids AND HGH! :D
