Here are a couple that are fresh off the bench. The first one is 13 1/2" long, has a 1080 blade with a wrought iron guard and damascus spacer and butt cap. The handle is a nice piece of Sambar Stag. The next one is 12 1/2" long, has a 1080/15n20 damascus blade with copper guard and pin and a spacer of mammoth ivory and thin black G10. The handle is crotch Black Walnut from Amish country here in Ohio. The pin is hollow copper that is filled with crushed Azurite. Thanks for taking the time to look and comments and criticism welcome. Regards -Burton

Both nice but I'm particularly partial to the overall profile of the first.
And very nice stag.

Thanks Kevin I really appreciate it. I didn't see you at the Ohio Classic did you make it over?

I was really looking forward to it, however a family commitment came up forcing me to change my plans. Larry did keep me informed though.

When one has a wife and 3 daughters the family commitments can come very often. ;) :D

I like them Both But the use of the damascus and stag with the 1080 and wrought iron is smoking hot

Kevin, I know how it is. Maybe you can come up next year. Dave and Stabber, I really appreciate the comments it means a lot.-Burton

Wow. Impressive. I love the walnut-handled one!

Kind regards,

Jos

Burton, Congatulations on the award at the Ohio Classic for the sambar stag knife, as you know it is my favourite one of the pair;)
The walnut handle with the copper and damascus looks real cool too.

Thanks Jos, Mike and Doug I really appreciate it. Big Rick good to talk with you last week, thanks for the compliments also. -Burton

Dig 'em both, but I want to see a close-up of the wood and pin combo of that handle - the azurite sounds like a cool idea, but I can just barely make out the blue of it in that photo.

Clean work on both pieces, and I love your leather work!
