****disclaimer**** My picture taking skills suck bad ! and leave a lot out of how my knives look , I apologize for any inconvenience or strained eyes.

Ok... I just got over a session of some serious anger in dealing with my camera , I smoked a cig and apologized for many , many cursewords. I'm much better now :D

Anowho , recently I've been working on all sorts of projects , all at once and finishing hardly any of them hehehe.

First off , my fourth knife.

6 1/2 inches OAL , 1/8 in thick D2 , Bocote scales w/ brass pins and simple fielwork on spine , added no-slip grooves on top and bottom of "tang" , a shiny version of the antiqued look on the blade. Cuts great , tested on newspaper , cardboard and finally some patio/backyard chores. Still need a sheath for it , fits nice in my hand. Still need to make sheath

Please guys tell me what you think , I need critique on my fit and finish and you folks are the experts. If you think it sucks , tell me !! but tell me why too , all advice is appreciated :)

Second up is my friday night project , my Tactical Boxcutter !!!! :D
I think this little guy is pretty cool IMO

4 1/4 OAL , blade length 1 1/8 , simple filework on spine for looks and added grip , doesnt look like much but it is litterally sharp as a razor blade and not a bad little EDC for work i'm thinking , made out of an old piece of a file.

Lastly , this is a wonderful Mora , I love Mora's but the ones I bought were cheesier than Velveeta.... Horrible red painted handles and plastic sheaths , the blade quality is awesome as well as the price , so I thought why not dress it up ?? Took off the paint , did some staining and finger grooves and 'blued' up the guard area (I know its called something else but my mind is drawing blanks), finished up with Tung oil , then made a sheath using the hotwax finishing method I learned on here http://outdoors-magazine.com/s_article.php?id_article=192 worked like a charm. Knife fits perfectly , nice and tight.

Take care folks , Todd.

It is a bit hard to see the fit and finish of your second knife. I like file work a couple of things you can do to dress it up. I fill mine up with colored epoxy where the full tang is in the scales. out side the scales obviously not. That is where I get the extra thum grip when I want it. The epoxy stops blood guts and moister getting into the pattern causing rust down deep.
Keep going your getting the hang of it. I like to see early knives a little smaller like yours. Starting on a big knife can be a lot of effort.

You have gone to a fair amount of effort to put the pattern in the tang. If you want something a bit nicer have a look at Bruce Evan tutorial on vine file work. You have the basic start pattern on your handle already. A couple of extra hours on your next knife you go from pattern to wow.

Naturally personal taste in pattern and style change with everyone. That is what I like. Again thanks to Bruce Evans for making his tutorials available. I am a big fan of his vine style. Well set out and easy to follow.

I give your knives a thumbs up.

Cool, I realy like what you did with the Mora, and with a little work the tacticle box cutter would make a heck of a neck or pocket fixed blade. Maybe add some holes in the handle for added traction and less wieght, play with it and see how it evolves.
