Hey guys,

This is a very recent ruling from the NJ Appellate court regarding knife possession. I think it is the best and most definitive explanation and interpretation of the law to date. It references old case law rulings, and provides a very good explanation of how the higher courts interpret the law. I believe it removes a lot of the vagueness with the "Not manifestly appropriate for such causes..."

Its a bit of a long read but it is very worth it.

I'm new here, if this is in the wrong area please move it :)

NJ is known for its vague weapon laws which gives the police a broader brush to incriminate people. Unfortunately, too many innocent people fall prey to these laws and it becomes a costly process to in their judicial web to untangle yourself.

This judgement helps add some clarity to carrying a knife in public. Thanks for the link.
