This is a very recent ruling from the NJ Appellate court regarding knife possession. I think it is the best and most definitive explanation and interpretation of the law to date. It references old case law rulings, and provides a very good explanation of how the higher courts interpret the law. I believe it removes a lot of the vagueness with the "Not manifestly appropriate for such causes..."
Its a bit of a long read but it is very worth it.
