Greetings everyone,

Here are a couple of sheaths I finished recently.

The first is a leather sheath for a smallish hunting knife. The blade on the knife is about four inches, and the handle is stabilized Sycamore.

The second is a Hunter Orange Kydex sheath I made for a small knife with a 3.5” CPM 20CV blade. The sheath is designed so that it can be worn either as a neck knife or on a belt. It also comes apart so that it can be cleaned. The Chicago screws are stainless steel and the hollow rivets are brass.

Thanks guys!

Shane, If it's any help, the best way I found to make the belt clip is to first mold the sheath (I use a toaster over and a foam press), then work on the clip. I use a heat gun to soften the bottom end of the clip, then roll it around a piece of bar stock. Only then do I heat the top end of the clip and bend it around the bar. I have a short length of bar stock that's about two inches wide, so it fits right in between the curves on the clip. That helps to keep the clip from getting angled to one side or the other.
