Thought I posted pics of my work from a few months ago here but I didn't. I know this isn't everyone's cup of tea but thought I'd share it anyway. One was designed by a FMA practitioner with input from an operator. I'm hoping to work on a no frills hawk for non tactical work but we'll see when that gets done. Thanks for looking.

Babcock hawk with tapered tang. Designed by an FMA practitioner after the Filipino Igorot head hunting axe and carried by active operators in the field.

I like the direction your going here. What's the specs on the urban hawk? Any chances of modifying the handle or are you set on the way it is?

Number 1 looks very useful/capable in many roles. Number 2 is too pointy in too many places for practical uses for me. That said they both look awesome and very well made/finished.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Ceptor781, I'm open to suggestions for future models.
RicFlair I'm using terotuf for the handles now so the grip is good even when wet. The bottom one is like a karambit on a stick and damn scary in the right person's hands.

As a FMA practitioner, I love them for what they are. Pure bad ass weapons. Beautiful work

What are the dimensions on the top hawk? Very nice work!! I like one on top but if I was in a hand to hand situation the one on the bottom would probably scare an adversary away without ever having to use it! Way to go brother!

Karambit on a stick is a good description for #2. No suggestions from me on it. I would do as much damage to myself as someone else with my luck. They're both magnificent pieces that I'd be proud to own. #2 would just make me pee a little every time I handled it, very carefully.

Oops. My mistake. I meant Snakebreaker. Snakebreaker had suggestions for the handle. Sorry.:p
Steel is s7 for both. Top hawk is like 13" top to bottom.

Which active operators and what do they use it for (I assume not head hunting:p)?

I've sold to seals and had input from one on a 3v cord wrapped variation. They just carry it for cqc. It's size and weight make it an easy carry in fatigues or civilian attire.
