I recently purchased a tomahawk head on ebay that I am hopeful will prove worth the price and a nice addition to my molle gear (after I make a carrier for it). It seems to be well made and a good size for carrying. I'm looking forward to it's arrival and have a handle here ready to fit to the head. It's from a seller going by the name deep.woods.forge located in Georgia. According to the description:

Opinions? I'm curious about what steels might have been used to make concrete hand drill bits.
Here is another hand forged tomahawk head from deep woods forge. This head was forged from a hexagonal concrete hand drill bit (what they used before jackhammers) and has been differentially heat treated. The blade is 2 1/2 inches wide and 3 inches long from the eye. The hammer is 1 1/2 inch long from the eye. The overall length of the head is 6 1/8 inches. The head has a brown gunbarrel finish for a nice aged look.
