Finished today.
Homemade steel, hand forged from the ingot. The blade is 4" long and 1/8" thick, flat ground
Bolster in nickel-silver, some engraving on it.
Carved walnut handle with the silver wire inlay.
The sheath is 8-9Oz leather with carved design.
I had an lot of fun carving and inlaying.

That is outstanding.....a very beautiful knife with incredible attributes.

It's always a pleasure to see your work my friend.......

Dmitry made a knife for me to be given as a gift. Based on a historic style with a few changes and made with his home-made steel. I am more than pleased with it, and Dmitry too :-)
He put up with a lot of messages from me on top of making the knife.
He exceeded every specification, added more features, finished it on time, and it is SHARP (and pretty).
I have no hesitation to recommend him to anyone. And have an idea or too for the future.
