got my BK9 Desert Tan last Wed. :D WOW!!! sums it up very well.Very impressive knife at a very impressive price. Spent some time with an iron, wet rag, vise and the sheath. I got it a little snug at the bottom then molded it back and front where the pouch is. It doesnt rattle at all and stays secure when shaken upside-down. I draws easy enough for me, I wanted it fairly tight. Now i have to sew it or something so it rides higher on your belt.
Hats off to Camillus and Mr. Becker!!!

After i got the sheath how i wanted i took my Lansky to it and thinned the edge(used a little lower lower angle. is that what you call "thinned the edge"?) and now the hairs dont just pop off, they get scared and pop off before the blade touches them.

I like mine alot, for the money nothing compares. I have too sharpen mine yet and will probably not thin the edge as the full flat grind performs quite well. Last time I used it I hit alot of rocks in my driveway, OOPS!. The only thing I don't care for is the handle being slippery, if you experience this you may want to get yours bead blasted. I will bead blast mine before I use it again, I did this on my BK5 and liked it alot.

Great purchase and I can't wait to see the Becker Extremes, those should really be impressive.

I have a BK7 - same handle. Comfortable to use, but
slippery. I solved the "slippery" problem by wrapping the handle
with black hockey tape. Matches in color, provides a much
better grip, and the problem is solved in minutes for about
$2.00 spent at your local sporting goods store ....

BK9 is definitely value for money. I have seen and felt the BK7 too. Another one which would make any hunter or collector proud.
