I received the WWII yesterday from the Oct 29 Dotd. It was waiting for me when I got home from work. First off let me say, I was not prepared for what was in the box.

I have a few Khuks from here and there, but nothing I have even compares to what I am holding.:D

This thing is a monster, the blade width is twice almost three times what my others are. It truly is a work of art. The neem wood is beautiful, the color and texture, fit and finish, I am speachless.

Ive been reading the posts from people regarding there purchases, and just sat back a bit and digested it all, I am very glad, I took the step to purchase one, but now the problem is I want MORE!!!!

Thank You Yangdu, for the fast shipping, I am hooked for life on HI.

I will post some pics when I can.

Yeah they are works of art, amazing tools and incredible bargains. Use it and you'll like it even more.

A 16.5" WWII is my go to blade for camping. I'm heading to Goblin Valley State Park tomorrow evening and my WWII will be in my backpack. It's a large blade that commands respect and asks to be used. So show it some love by finding some wood to chop or split. :)

Checked the dotd photo of your Vim Kami WWII ...you have got one very beautiful Khuk made by a excellent Kami. Enjoy! :)

I had a similar reaction to my CAK when I opened the package. These are awesome knives...and Yangdu's DOTDs are THE way to go.

Same. I spent a good minute in awe at my Ultimate Fighter from the Deal of the Day I snagged it from. Excellent piece if I might say so. That WWII looks great too.

Thank You John, im sure the UF is perfect. I cant get over the girth of these khurks.

Ok snapped a few quick shots of my Khuk(s) my other one arrived yesterday and again was waiting for me.

The second one was the 11-03 blem. It is a 16.5 inch 20 ounce Sirupati by Bura. The handle shrunk some. so I will fix it with some epoxy, but it is perfect in every other way. Bura's work is really amazing. Now I cant believe the shipping that Yangdu pulls off, I am on the East Coast and it was here in two days

The third blade is one I made from another khuk I had. I used it for camping and such. It worked up till I received these pieces. probably going to sit idle for a long time.

Hope you like the pics, I will try to post some better ones when I can.

Good to have another brother in the Family, Welcome!
I've Always said that Not only are H.I. khukuri the best made in Nepal, but the are also the best value for the money, once you sit back and think about it.

Thank You Karda,

You are correct sir in every way. I just keep looking at them, and just cant get over how these men create the works of art from basically scrap metal, and with the tools they use, well im just amazed.:thumbup:

I know exactly how you feel. It is amazing isnt it.
They do it to survive, these men whom are lowly untouchables in their own land are truly talented craftsmen of the highest order in my mind. I'm sure they will Appreciate your comments.

I couldn't agree more with you, and I hope that my purchases help them survive.
