I have not had to much time to play with it. Quality is very good. The blade closes dead center, opens and closes smoothly. The weld line between the two steels is back about a 1/4 inch from the blade bevels and wanders a little. I was quite surprised that it is this far back. I thought the lamination of zdp189 would be thinner but this good. Knife is very sharp out of the box..even for Spyderco which is its norm.. this one is sharp. Eventually I will thin the bevels to twenty degrees when it gets dull.

I will play with it this weekend and cut some stuff besides arm hair.

I wondered how thick the core would be on the Calypso Junior since it has such a thin blade profile. It doesn't surprise me that a lot of the core is exposed. My CJ is supposed to arrive tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to it.
