Old limited memory failed again. There is a way to quick-scramble eggs in the microwave & I cannot recall it . Airhead we bought from thoughtfully packed all appliance booklets & moved out .

We are still doing the try & see method.

Any help most appreciated.

break eggs into a microwave safe cup. Stir with fork until mixed. Microwave for 45 seconds per egg give or take.

You can also try:
A pinch of butter in a microwave safe bowl, drop the egg in but dont scramble
nuke it 30 seconds and flip it with a spoon or fork - do another 30 seconds
Butter adds a little flavor and keep it from sticking if you overcook a bit

DOH! forgot to check date.

Microwave ovens take experimentation. There is no recipe that can tell you how long to microwave something. You just have to go by trial and error in your dish in your oven.

The most important thing to know about microwaving eggs is that you must ALWAYS break the yoke. The yoke is surrounded by a membrane and the liquid inside will boil quite quickly. Pressure will build up inside that membrane and.... there she blows! And then you've got a mess to clean up.

Like dropping a spoon into a mug of nuked water. Boiling hot, drop a spoon in and it explodes scalding water everywhere. Something to do with microwaving causing the water molecules to reach boiling tems but binds them from motion blah blah
to that effect.

It's called "super-heated" water, which describes exactly what it is - it's water that is heated beyond the boining point but the water vapor has not broken out of solution. Providing a nucleation point by putting in a spoon or other substance like sugar or instant coffee will cause the water to begin boiling furiously. It can be pretty dangerous and has caused lots of scalding injuries.

It takes too much time to scramble eggs on the stove?
