Reclaiming Antique Stag

I'm wondering how many of you have tried collecting usable pieces of old junky flea market type stag handles. I have seen nice pieces on old kitchen knives, in fact I probably own a few if I looked through my junk in the basement.

Any other materials worth reclaiming?

Doesn't seem to be much reason to try to use possibly sub standard material, there is some stag around if you are willing to pay for it.
