Recluse Question

Do they all have a 4" blade? I see different sizes listed...is it how they are measured or do they vary that much?

Hi Chris,

The are 3 models in the Recluse family. The length stays roughly the same (handmade knives are never quite identical) but the blade thickness varies. You'll see 3/32", 1/8", 5/32", and 3/16" thick blades come out in these patterns.

Thanks so much. I've seen dealers list them from 3.75" to 4.00"

I would imagine the variance comes from where the individual dealers determines the blade ends. In front of the guard,at the scales or wherever....

This is the usual reason for differences from one site to another. Some measure from the front of the handle scales and some measure from the plunge line, which on the Recluse would make the difference between 3.75" and 4"
