Hey. I love the benchmade deep carry clips. But I can't stand how the paint chips so easily.. does anyone have any ideas on how to recoat them in a way that holds up better?

I have stripped the black off and did an acid/stone wash which came out great. But I'd prefer to have my clips black for the most part.. Any input would be appreciated.

- You could always have the clips coated with Cerakote. DLC may be another option.

Good idea, thanks..

I've had a gentleman with a weapons, etc., coating business that I contacted off another forum, where he is a regular, and well recommended. He has cerokoted several clips for me, and I plan on having him do some more for me.

They turn out with a nice matte black coating. He advised me a few days ago that he's not doing coating more till into March, but he's a nice guy to deal with.

If you're interested, pm me for his contact info.
