Just thought I'd share this with the community. Picked up a copy of a new magazine the other day called RECOIL, just hit stands last week. It's a pretty awesome firearms/tactical lifestyle mag, reviews on new guns and gadgets, interviews with shooting champs, bigwigs in firearms industry etc, lots of AR, combat pistol, shotgun stuff, but it also has articles on Bug out vehicles, "Zombie proof"/fortified mansions, training courses and the lot. Everything is well written, lots of pictures, and the artistic design and layout of everything is top notch. The matt-finish covers, and glossy pages make it feel like a top quality magazine. Right now it's only quarterly, but they have plans to add in a couple more issues a year.

Just figured I'd share it, they replied quickly to questions I asked on their facebook page, and that gave me a good feeling, like asking Uncle E a question and getting a personal reply. Anyways, check it out, they have a pretty cool facebook page too, just search RECOIL, all caps.

I saw an ad for this mag in one of my knife mags recently, hopefully I find it soon. Thanks for the tip!

"Tactical Lifestyle"?

Yeah, you know, how you live.

All tactical and stuff.

Tactical Willis and his Tactical Lifestyle.

Gimme that Randall Model 3 or perish. Your final warning.

:D

Giving you my model 3 would be a bad "tactical" move, and I know tactics. After all I am an honor graduate of the US Army Ninja School@Ft Huachuca Arizona.

Huachuca! Close to Bisbee, my favorite place on earth.

Bisbee, not Huachuca.:)

I got the latest issue of RECOIL last week. I was curious. Normally I don't buy gun magazines anymore, but this one looked flashy and said 'BUY ME!"

It really is kind of a tabletop lifestyle magazine. They've got pictures of guys in suits holding guns and stuff, adn then they break down everything the guy is holding, everything the guy is wearing, where to get it, how much it costs, etc. And I mean everything. His clothes, watch, belt, everything.

There are articles on cars, knives (needs more Beckers, but they do showcase the Ka-bar Kukri machete, actual size), tacticool gun stuff, how to make kydex sheaths and holsters, some very basic shooting and survival tips (nothing really good unless you're a beginner), an article on cameras, an interview with some guy, and a few pics of pretty girls. They even include a full-size Daniel Defense rifle target folded into the middle.

The pictures were nice, but the info overall wasn't anything earth shattering. I learn more from logging in to gun, knife, and personal defense forums. But if you want a cool-looking magazine to put on the coffee table for guests, this would be a really good one to have.
