im looking for a good size folder or tactical folder (3.5"-4.5") that has a unique blade shape or tanto point that has assisted opening or a flipper design...something that screams stay the hell away from me in a deffense situation and in practical use make your friends say "oooh thats bad ass"...all for under about 70-80 bucks

You should check out Mantis Knives. From your post it sounds like they would be right up your alley.

That's very true but since I've gotten into Spydercos I still want one. I already have the Matriarch so why not get the daddy?

mehhh im not a fan of spiderco...i honestly detest the hole in the blade...i prefer a thumb stud or flipper but the suggestions are greatly apreciated

Buy an Umnumzaan!!! :D

or for the budget I'd look at most things Kershaw - great selections for a helluva price. Maybe the G-10 handled Tyrades from Kershaw, those were some real knives when they came out - my uncle still uses his for oilfield work, I clean it up from time to time because he shows it no mercy but it keeps on kicking

What?..... Kershaws...Spyderco?...This dude needs to check out he Cold Steel catalog, AO aside.

The Spydercos might not look to cool and the hole may look weird but it works really well. You can also put a zip-tie on the hole and wave it, I just got my first one, a Endura and its great! Also Kershaws are very nice and have great AO.

The Kershaw Tanto Groove or R.A.M look like they would fit your bill or ZT 0400 although it might cost more.
