Ok, right now im carrying a Delica 4 ffg. I like it, but I've always like knives that were on the larger side. I'm not a big guy with big hands, but when I pull my knife out I like to know I've got "A knife". It will be mostly used for utility tasks from day to day. I want something thats got some belly, but nothing super huge. I don't want to scare people to bad if I were to need to use it in public. I dont mind a little look though. Lol

I'm looking for ATLEAST a 3.5" blade, but closer to 3.75 or even 4" would be good. And somewhere around a $50 price tag.

For example, I've looked at the Crkt M21-04G, the Crkt Fire Spark, the Crkt M16-03z, and the SOG Spec-Elite 1.

I Really like the M21. I looks awsome, but I havn't seen one in person and I cant really gauge the size very well. I cant find a side by side picture with the Delica to be able to judge the size.

I strongly recommend the Cold Steel Voyager, large size (4" blade). I have it in tanto point. It also comes in FFG clip point, and it used to come in vaquero (a FFG curvy s-shape), but that was recently discontinued. Still widely available.

Comes very sharp out of the box, quality workmanship and construction, great materials, and one of the strongest folding knife locks on the market. The ergonomics are awesome (super grippy handle!) and once the knife is broken in, opening and closing is buttery smooth. It's a spectacular folder and I have nothing bad to say about it at all. Amazing value and in my opinion it's even worth the MSRP.

Benchmade onslaught or the lum Chinese from spyderco. Both super smooth and good slicers. The onslaught is a little tougher looking than the lum Chinese.

Ahh sorry I didn't see the 50.00 budget you might be able to score a mini griptillian for around there.good luck

If you like the Delica and want something bigger, you might check out the Endura. It's pretty commonly available for just a little over $50.

I would get a BLEM Kershaw JunkYardDog 2.2 from the KershawGuy. It is a great knife.

Try an Ontario Rat 1 or an Ontario Utilitac 2. Those are both 3.5 inch blades and my personal work knives. Both can be found for under 30 bucks.

How about a Spyderco Resilience? Also, a Kershaw Shallot would work well for you I think. Maybe a Manix2 XL if you can find a deal.

Cold Steel Voyager Large Clip Point. 4 inch blade, good amount of belly, stonewashed finish, super strong triad lock, costs around $45:

Since you are used to the Delica, I'd just go one up and get the Endura. Same feel, just a bit bigger. I actually went the other way starting out with the Endura and then wanting something a bit smaller but still useful... Delica. Great knife.

I did think about getting an endura. I just want something a little different. The endura ffg is on the list for future though:thumbup:

The cold steel voyager Lg will be high on the list also, along with the benchmade 710. And many more. Lol

I think for right now i'm goin to order the ontario Rat 1. I've been looking into them, and the seem to be a great knife for the money.

Feel very free to keep adding to the thread. I'm quickly growing my "Want List". And it's getting pretty long. :D
