recommend 6" fixed blade

Looking at 6" fixed blades/camp knife. Considering scrapyard, ferhman, JK handmade or custom makers on forum in 01 or A2 steel. Have to keep it < $200. Want to keep OAL 11" or less . What do like/have + experience with? Fire away and thanks.

You are on the right track with the JK line of knives, There is not a better value out there anywhere, IMO. Check out Koyote and DPK as well.

Hi im new on this forum, would like to know if it is true that stainless steel is harder to sharpen compared to black carbon knives. I also heard carbon knives need more maintenance.
