Recommend a belt knife on a budget?

I am starting to look into EDC'ing a belt knife to carry in the 11 o'clock position. I've determined that the ESEE 3, BK11, and BK24 are all too large to carry as a belt knife. The overall length needs to be in the 4"-5" range from what I see for a belt knife. I started looking into SOG Snarl, Boker Gnome, CRKT Folt Minimalist Bowie, etc... I would prefer a thicker knife with a hand filling handle, but I am open to all options.

Edit:

Budget: Under $120
Uses: EDC and camp chores mainly.
Carry: 11 o'clock position, horizontally. Left of the buckle. Cross draw.

Thank you!

you don't say what the budget is... how much you looking to spend and is it for cutting chores primarily or for everything?

You're saying you want to carry it crossdraw, horizontally on your belt, just to the left of your belt buckle?

It isn't a big surprise that the ESEE 3 isn't to your liking for that kind of carry, as its more a smaller "normal" fixed blade knife. The BK11 and 24 are smaller "neck" knives, so that's somewhat surprising that you found them too large.

But if those are too big, check out the ESEE Candiru or ESEE izula. Both of those are smaller than the BK11/14/24, are quite sturdy and reliable, and aren't crazy expensive.

A hand filling handle on a 4-5 inch OAL knife?
Hahahhaaaahahaahaahahahahaaaaaahhaaaaa
Sorry, couldn't help myself; but I think I'm better, now. My recommendation would be an LT Wright Patriot. OAL approx 5.5 in
*edited to add image*
Patriots at top and bottom, for size comparison (note the BK24, 2nd up from bottom)

Another option might be a TM Hunt Hornet - I've never actually held one; but it looks like it might suit your desires. Don't know the price, though - what's your budget?

I rotated between the BK11, RAT 3, and Esee3 for a couple years. I tried an Izula, Boker Knome and others "smaller" knives and they seemed too small.

All Nordic style. Short, bit big handle to blade ratio.

Helle Ola Kniven

Lapin Puukko "Nätti's Nail" (maybe too long??)

Roselli Little Carpenter and Grandmother

Wood Jewel Knives "Little Knife"

Also, Bark River Micro Canadian.
